About Us
Reading School of Dance opened in April 2013. Our aim is to share our passion for dance and to support the younger generation.
RSOD specialises in mainstream Hip-Hop and street dance starting from the age of 4+ year olds. We also offer other styles of dance such as ballet, tap, commercial, lyrical/ contemporary to enhance our students learning. We offer a chance to be creative, build confidence, meet new friends and experience something new. We give our students amazing opportunities and we will go that extra mile for our students.
We have also been able to provide our students with a future career in dance. We have had many students go on to full dance schools and universities such as: Urdang Academy, Wilkes Academy, Performers college, Creative Academy, Platinum Academy of performing arts, Middlelsex, East London, Roehampton, Kingston University.
We are also the only dance school in Reading to offer the arts award qualification. This is the arts equivalent to doing Duke Of Edenborough awards. If you do the gold level this can get the students UCAS points to help get into university.
